Next Stop Largo, Florida

Chilly and windy here with gusts somewhere around 20 to 25 mph so, had to draw in the motorized awnings to make sure they don't get any damage -- saw one RVs on the ground during a walk around the park.  So, what better thing to do than stay in and get at least the next stop booked on my way around the Gulf Coast (just get me out of here please).  Already had to pay for these two weeks at Pine Island before they accepted the reservation but, I can see why -- as I walked around this morning, I counted almost 60 sites open or unoccupied in this KOA campground.

I will be gladly moving 137 miles up the coast which may take about 3 hours and I will be located almost on the coast west of Tampa -- where the Shriner's Headquarters are located (one of my old client's).  The next stop after that should be somewhere in the Florida panhandle and Largo will put me in better driving time to the Destin area (where I hope to book another week).  I tried a state park in Santa Rosa Beach but, they had nothing available -- tried online and even called to be sure.  My search will continue today and hopefully will produce something.

Vacation Village will be only about 8 or 10 miles to Belleair Beach; 10 to 15 miles to Clearwater Beach; and about 51 miles to Siesta Key (about an hour's drive instead of 2 from here).  May make it to Siesta Key afterall.
