End of Day Two at Goldcoaster
The sky has now turned coral to pale orange after a brief red sky and now after 6:00 pm with the street lamps beginning to fire and light this small oasis. Had worked earlier (twice) to get pictures to supplement the previous days postings -- pulled the camera's cord too early again (then discovered the images in saved "smaller" files really existed though the camera said "no pictures").
Been listening to CDs and having a couple glasses of wine while watching the earlier sunset -- the approach of a stray cat who almost came up the steps of the RV to say hello to Tiger and Molly (really had their two tails twitching and cute to see). The cat had dark colors and some oranges and tans mixed in and responded to some of my meows and "hello kitty" but, it bolted to safety under the Jeep when I threw a handfull of dry cat food out the window. Now that's probably food for any mice or rats in the area -- should probably have gotten that rat and mice poison traps I looked at when at Walmart earlier. Oh well! May still need that for the Keys (if not sooner).
Sitting at 80% cash and Happy for the New Year so far in the stock market -- already assured with gains thus far to finance the rest of this years journey (not considering Uncle Sam's cut of the pie). Now studying the next set of stocks that may provide similar gains as the first 10 days of the year -- using the same principals I adopted back in early December. Will also focus some attention on the next portion of my journey after Key Largo -- whether to head up the Gulf Coast or extend my time down here near the Keys.
An exploratory trip tomorrow should provide some relevant factors for considering in deciding my travel plans. I did splurge on a new surf casting rod and reel today while at Walmart and have it rigged and ready for tomorrow -- had decided the $5 rod and reel purchased 25 years ago at a yard sale in Burke needed to be replaced (justified by a really good day in the Market -- not the Walmart pricing that convinced me but, it helped too).
Twins are getting antsy so, better get my salad and reheat the bluefish from Sunday night to share with them. Also located or glimpsed a Starbux not far from here where I can finally begin to use the thoughtful gift cards given to me by Kingstowne neighbors Rachael and Janice (thanks again you two).
