Getting Things Ship Shape

The winds finally diminished late last evening and have now began to pick up again as the northern jet stream continues to dip down into the southwestern United States -- and brings those chilly temps our way again.  Snowing in South Fork this morning with heavy snows nearby -- better to be here, I think.  The past few days we had highs in the mid and upper 70s but, expecting to only touch 60 today at best so, will continue to get things cleaned and filters replaced or lamps replaced (if I can remember where I put the ones I bought while in Mesa, AZ).

Yesterday morning I tore apart the Sleep Number bed in search of the supposed central air filter located under the hinged platform at the head of the bed (according to the Operator's Manual).  Tiger, of course, decided to come help me with the task as soon as he saw me strip the sheets, pillow cases and the bed spread -- guess he thought it was playtime so he hid under the pile of stripped bed coverings.  At least, until I lifted the hinged panels covering the opening under the bed then, he thought he should jump into the space if he could -- not on my watch.

Since I didn't spot the filter there, I decided to get the sheets, pillow cases and some other things I had found in the Jeep (beach towels, hats, and visors) as well as some items from my liquor container that had been soaked with Triple-Sec into one of the washing machines in the laundry building just behind my site here at the campground.  Then, I reassembled the platform and the bed giving one last look or two to be sure the filter wasn't anywhere beneath it.  Nope!  Not there.

After laying on top of the stripped bed with Tiger for awhile, I decided to take a look at the louvered panel under the washer/dryer combo unit by the closet.  Since the panel had no visible screws, I pried at the edges and the panel popped off -- held in place with a couple snap catches.  Inside the small compartment there was the air filter -- in dire need of being changed (which I did).  Boy!  That was a lot easier than tearing apart the bed -- but, now I have clean sheets on the bed and a nice white air filter in place (with a backup in the closet too).

Vacuumed the bedroom this morning and am thinking of getting that little Bissell to do the carpets in the main living area -- when the temps hit the 70s again.  All this should hopefully give me more time to fish once I land in South Fork in the middle of next month.

Now to find those little festoon lights I bought -- I know two places where they are not.
