Two Weeks to Golden

Sunrise in South Fork
Just enjoyed a couple cups of fresh coffe while watching the beautiful sunrise here and a half dozen Mule deer grazing through the camground as they headed into the woods and back up the mountain.  Yesterday morning around 9:30, I went over to the office to check on a couple things and justs steps from the office in a small center courtyard were two lingering deer feeding on the grass -- they were as startled as I was but, didn't seem bothered enough to run off.  Maybe they were looking for handouts.

I went back last night to the Perfect Fishing Spot and tried for another hour to catch more fish but, when the sun started to hide behind the nearby mountain, I came back to enjoy that fish I had cooked on the grille.  I had soaked up some sun (just shorts and sandals) while cooking the fish and some hot dogs -- afternoon or lunch snacks for the next few days (plan to just reheat them in the microwave).  So, when I went back to fish some more, I just slipped on some jeans and a dark pullover shirt -- kept the sandals while I fished since it was still pleasantly mild in the sunshine.

Just being here and having such a short drive up these scenic roads is a blessing and not to be wasted sitting in doors -- unless my toes are too cold (as they are now).  Inside temp only got down to 64 but, it happened to be 38 when I got up -- felt like 31 according to the weather.com site.

Just throwing some pictures at you and maybe they will entice you to come on down.

Can you find my Rooster-tail?

South Fork of the Rio Grande

Maybe you would prefer the other fishing hole on the South Fork -- bridge just downstream.  Or maybe a nice sunset.
